Terms of Service

Last updated October 13, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ConTROLL ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using ConTROLL on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business.

1. The Service

ConTROLL is guest-intelligence software for restaurants and hospitality operators. It builds guest timelines and deterministic, explainable signals (such as VIP, risk, and review matches) from data you import — including reservations, surveys, and public reviews — to help your team prepare for service. ConTROLL surfaces information; operators make all decisions about how to treat their guests.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. One operator account is tied to one venue.

3. Trial and billing

Subscription checkout is handled by Stripe. The current checkout offers 7 days free and requires payment details. The standard subscription is $99 per venue per month after the trial, plus any applicable tax. Review the final amount, billing date and any discount terms in Stripe before subscribing. Checkout is linked to your signed-in venue account. Manage your subscription with Stripe from Settings, or contact reports@controll.tech for billing help. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; you may cancel at any time and retain access through the end of your billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

4. Your data and responsibilities

You retain ownership of the data you import ("Operator Data"). You grant us a limited license to host and process Operator Data solely to provide the Service. You represent that you have a lawful basis to provide guest information to ConTROLL and to use the resulting intelligence, and that you will comply with applicable privacy, consumer-protection, and anti-discrimination laws.

ConTROLL is a preparation tool, not a basis for refusing service or otherwise treating a guest unlawfully. You are solely responsible for your interactions with your guests.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service to harass, discriminate against, or unlawfully profile any individual.
  • Do not upload data you are not authorized to share, or infringe anyone's rights.
  • Do not attempt to access another venue's data, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service.
  • Do not resell or expose the Service or its outputs to third parties except as permitted.

6. Network signals

The Service may surface anonymized, cross-network reputation signals tied to opaque tokens rather than to identifiable details. You agree to use these signals only to prepare for service and in compliance with applicable law, and to treat them as one input among many — never as the sole basis for an adverse decision about a guest.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding Operator Data), is owned by ConTROLL and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service; no other rights are granted.

8. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties (for example, reservation platforms and public-review sources). Your use of those services is governed by their terms, and we are not responsible for them.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." ConTROLL's signals are computed from the data available and may be incomplete or imperfect; they are informational and not guarantees. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ConTROLL will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenues. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; data handling on termination is described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll revise the "last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice within the product. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
